Best High Protein Smoothies Recipes – How to Make Healthy Smoothies

Protein is incredibly important for our bodies and is used for healthy hair, skin, and bones. Plus utilizing a protein powder in your morning breakfast can prevent overeating during the day. The secret to mixing something up that you go crazy over is finding a balance between the protein you use and the sweet and savory add-ins of our choice.

We’ve taken the guess work out of the protein and smoothie combo and provided you with our absolute favorite smoothie recipes. Each recipe has 8 or more grams of protein (from our MyNurish Whey Protein as well as the additional superfoods) and are derived from whole food sources.

High Octane Coffee Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • ½ cup cold coffee
  • 1 scoop of MyNurish Essential Whey Protein Powder

Directions

Add ingredients in the order listed into a blender. Blend until smooth.

Berry Acai & Kale Protein Smoothie

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 2/3 of a cup of berries of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon of acai
  • 1/2 a cup of kale leaves (remove the hard parts of the stalks)
  • 1/4 of a cup of almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon of ground flax seed
  • 1 scoop of MyNurish Essential Whey Protein Powder

Directions

Place all the ingredients into a blender together. Pulse on high. Pour into a glass and enjoy.

Banana & Almond Butter Smoothie

  • 1 cup almond milk or other non-dairy milk
  • 1 cup de-stemmed kale leaves or baby spinach
  • 1 large ripe frozen banana, chopped into chunks
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter 
  • 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon
  • 1 scoop of MyNurish Essential Whey Protein Powder
  • 2 to 3 ice cubes

Directions

Add all ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pineapple, frozen
  • 1 cup coconut milk, unsweetened
  • 1 Tbsp of coconut flakes
  • Dash of cinnamon
  • 1 scoop of MyNurish Essential Whey Protein Powder
  • ½ cup ice

Directions

Add all ingredients to a blender and process until smooth.

Weight Loss Glowing Green Smoothie

  • 1-2 cups very cold, filtered water
  • ¾ pound organic romaine lettuce, rough chopped, about 1 head
  • ½ head large bunch or small bunch organic spinach
  • 3-4 organic celery stalks, halved
  • 1 organic green apple, cored, seeded, quartered
  • ½ fresh organic lemon, peeled, seeded
  • 1 scoop of MyNurish Essential Whey Protein Powder
  • 1 scoop of MyNurish 37 Superfoods+ in Apple Cherry Vanilla

Directions

  1. Place water, romaine, spinach, celery into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
  2. Starting the blender on a low speed, blend until smooth.
  3. Gradually moving to higher speeds  and add apple, pear and lemon and protein powder to the blender and blend until smooth
